Experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of four breathtaking nations on an exciting and exhilarating 7-days Europe tour. Begin your adventure in Paris, the City of Lights, where you can marvel at the Eiffel Tower, meander down the Champs-Élysées, and take in the priceless works of art at the Louvre. Go to Switzerland after that, and spend time in Lucerne, which is tucked away by the tranquil Lake Lucerne and surrounded by stunning views of the Alps, as well as Basel’s quaint old town. Travel on to Italy and arrive in Milan, the world’s fashion and design center, where you can see the stunning Duomo and lively streets. Subsequently, relish the distinct charm of Venice, featuring its captivating waterways, iconic St. Mark’s Basilica, and beautiful gondola excursions. Lastly, travel to the historically rich city of Rome, where you can discover historic treasures like the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the breathtaking Vatican City, which is home to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. An incredible immersion in some of Europe’s most famous locations is what this tour promises.
Day 1: Nairobi – Paris
Depart Nairobi for Paris on your pre-booked flight departing Nairobi at 0820hrs to arrive in Paris CDG International Airport at 1550hrs. On arrival, you will be met at the airport by Abana Safaris representative who will transfer you to your hotel for the evening. (NB: Flight details may vary depending on airlines available)
Day 2: Paris
This day you will be free at leisure to tour Paris on your own with shopping and all. Overnight will be in Paris
Day 3: Paris – Switzerland
Today after breakfast we will board our luxury coach in Paris and drive through the scenic routes to the mountainous country side of Switzerland. You will pass through the iconic city of Basel where the three borders of Switzerland, Germany and France meet. We proceed with scenic drive to arrive at the lakeside city of Lucerne. Lucerne is famed for the breathtaking views of the lake, Mount Rigi of Swiss Alps and Mt. Pilatus, Chapel Bridge, the water tower and much more. Enjoy the gothic architecture as some of the buildings date back hundreds of years. The Chapel Bridge which crosses the Reuss River, interior contains several paintings which were completed in the 17th century. Overnight in Lucerne – Switzerland
Day 4 – Milan & Venice
After a hefty breakfast you will have some photo moments in Lucern before proceeding to Milan, IT. Milan is a global center for design and fashion. Some of the places like Santa Maria delle Grazie dates back in history decorated by Leornardo da Vinci. Here we will visit the Sforza Castle built by Francesco Sforza in the 1400s and home several museums currently. You will then visit Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II one of the oldest shopping malls in the world dating back 1877. Afterwards proceed to Teatro alla Scala. This is a Milanese theater known Opera House all over the world founded in 1778. We will head to Venice for overnight.
Day 5 -Venice – Rome
After breakfast, we will take a tour of Venice, IT famed for her canal system and its 118 Islands linked together. The tour begins with a waterbus ride to San Marco Island where we stop at the Piazza San Marco also known as the drawing room of Europe, with structures dating back over 100yrs. Venice is also home of Saint Mark’s Basilica also called The Basilica Cattedrale Patriarcale di San Marco. This famed church is known for its unique and ornate Italo-Byzantine architecture that includes five hemispherical domes and fine patterns built in the 11th century AD. You will then visit the Bridge of Sighs. This is a stunning white – Limestone Bridge and derives its name from the bleak place. Afterwards you will have a chance to see some traditional Venetian with a demonstration by Murano glassblowers. Venice activity is to take a gondola ride through the Grand Canal. This is an S-shaped path through the length of the city use for public transport and tourism. Taking one ride on the beautiful canals gives you an experience via boat commonly known as Gondola. We will spend the night in the Rome, IT area.
Day 6 – Rome – Vatican City – Arezzo
After your breakfast, you will visit the smallest sovereign state in the world – The Vatican. This is the home of Roman Catholic papacy. We will visit the St. Peter’s Basilica, and the optional Sistine Chapel to view Michelangelo’s famous painted ceiling, a sublime masterpiece. We drive to the famous Trevi Fountain a guided tour of the Coliseum, and get up close to the nearby Arch of Constantine built nearly 2000yrs co commemorate the victory of Constantine 1 at the battle of Milvian Bridge. Afterwards shop at TYO . Overnight will be in Rome
Day 7 – Rome – Departure
This day you will be at leisure free for shopping until time for departure.
