Day 01 – Masai Mara National Reserve
Embark on a drive through the Great Rift Valley to Kenya’s most renowned game reserve, Masai Mara, arriving in time for check-in and lunch. After lunch, you will have a game drive in the reserve where you are likely to the meet the herbivorous inhabitants like; elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and various antelope species, as well as the masai giraffe and burchell’s zebra. The carnivorous species present include the black-maned lion, cheetah, and leopard, wild dogs, jackal, and hyena, along with the largest bird, the Maasai ostrich, the Secretary bird, the crested crane, and the saddle-billed stork. Small birds often flock around and settle on the rhinos and elephants, while crocodiles and hippos inhabit the river. You will return to your lodge by sunset. Day 02: Masai Mara Safari – Whole day Game drive
Commence your day with breakfast followed by a whole day game viewing drive to explore this premier reserve in Kenya. You will have lunch to go (packed lunch).
The Masai Mara is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife, with over 450 recorded species. You are likely to observe lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, and numerous antelope species, as well as elephants. The Mara is also the site of one of nature’s most spectacular events: the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti in Tanzania, in search of water and grazing land. Following closely behind are the predators of the savannah, including lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures. Meals and overnight accommodation at the camp / lodge
Day 03: Departure to Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast at the camp before departing for Nairobi with a game drive enroute. Leave the Masai Mara safari behind and travel back to Narok Town, then journey across the expansive plains of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffes and gazelles as you ascend the ridge back to the city where you will be dropped off.
