Day 1: Nairobi – Cairo

Meet at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport for our flight to start our journey together to the land of the Pharaohs’ as well as the Holy Land. Say “Kwaheri” to Kenya as we take on the clouds to Cairo – Egypt. Arrival transfer to the hotel for Overnight

Day 2: Cairo

  • Visit Egyptian museum
  • Visit the Pyramids,
  • the Sphinx and then on to the
  • old Cairo where you will visit the hanging church
  • Church of St.Sergius (ABU SERGA) Meals and Overnight at hotel in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo – Mt. Sinai – St. Catherine

Depart Cairo via the Suez Canal on the Red Sea that separates Asia and Africa. Then continue to the Wilderness of Sin where the miracle of Manna and Quails took place and view the seventy-two palm trees. Next stop is in Rephidim, Springs of Moses. Dinner and overnight at St Catherine

Day 4: Mt. Sinai – Taba Heights
Early morning climb to the summit of Mt. Sinai. Descend for breakfast. Visit St. Catherine Monastery, the famous Greek Orthodox Monastery, Burning Bush and the well where Moses met his wife Zebura (daughter of Jethro, the priest of Median). Afterwards drive to Taba border. Overnight at Taba

Day 5: Kibuttz – Bethlehem / Jerusalem for overnight
Early morning cross the border from Egypt to Israel and proceed to Kibuttz Yotvata mentioned in Number 33:34. Here you will tour the farm, get an in-depth explanation about the Kibbutz system in Israel as well as visit the dairy farming and the milking process. You will have lunch here. Afterwards drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Gethsemane – Mt. Olives – Gethsemane – Mt. Zion – Jerusalem – Bethlehem
Today after breakfast we go to the Mount of Olives, enjoy a breathtaking view on Jerusalem, and proceed to visit the Chapel of Ascension which commemorates the ascent of Jesus to Heaven. And the Church of Pater Noster where according to tradition, lays the cave where Jesus brought his disciples and spoke to them about the mystery of the end. Then we go to the Palm Sunday Road and stop at the Chapel of Dominius Flevit, where Jesus wept over the imminent destruction of Jerusalem. We walk down the Palm Road to Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed while Judas betrayed him to the Romans. Visit the Basilica of the Agony (Church of all Nations). From there a short drive to Mount Zion, to visit the room of the Last Supper, we will also visit King David Tomb and Dormition Abbey, then to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Afternoon we drive to Bethlehem, visit the Church of Nativity, the birth place of our Lord. We will also visit the Grotto of St. Jerome. Then drive to view the Shepherd’s fields and afterwards return to the hotel for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 7: Yad Vashem – Deadsea – Mt. of Temptation – Zaccheus Tree
After breakfast we proceed to one of the most recommended sites in Israel, the Yad Vashem. This is Israel’s largest Holocaust Memorial set on the slopes of the Mount of Remembrance on the edge of Jerusalem. The new Yad Vashem Museum opened in 2005 and its nine chilling galleries of interactive historical displays present the Holocaust using a range of multimedia including photographs, films, documents, letters, works of art, and personal items found in the camps and ghettos. Yad Vashem is a place which is not fun to visit, but is definitely somewhere that we recommend all visitors to Israel experience. Later proceed to the Dead Sea, which is the lowest elevation point on earth’s surface (1388ft below from the sea level). On the way the shores of the Dead Sea view Qumran, the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. You will enjoy some time floating on the salty, rich in minerals water of the Dead Sea. You will later drive to Jericho, believed to be the oldest city in the world. View Mount of Temptation where Jesus was tempted by Satan. Later we pass through the Sycamore tree Luke 19: 2“A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. 4So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way”. A smooth scenic drive to the hotel will end our day today. You will be free to explore the city of Jerusalem on your own. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem/ Jerusalem

Day 8: Jaffa – Caesarea – Mt. Camel
Breakfast at the hotel, check out and departure for the day at 07:00AM to visit the old city of Jaffa, one of the ancient gateways to the Holy Land: Through its port the Cedar trees for Salomon’s Temple were brought, the prophet Jonas tried to flee God, but most important: It was in Jaffa where Christianity began to be spread among the nations. Here St. Peter lived in the house of Simon the Tanner and had the “Vision of the Flesh”, and here he made his first miracle by healing the little girl. Today Jaffa’s renovated alley-ways attract many artists, who have their galleries there. Drive to Caesarea, the magnificent port-city built by King Herod the Great. From here St. Peter went to Rome and started with his first miracles. In Caesarea’s well-preserved theater an inscription of the procurator Pontius Pilate was found. We continue to Haifa the Mt. Carmel, Stella Mary’s. Then proceed to Nazareth to visit the basilica and the Grotto of the Annunciation- the old Synagogue and Mary’s Well. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight in Nazareth

Day 9: Sea of Galilee – Capernaum – Mt of Beatitudes – River Jordan
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the day at 7:30 am to visit the places where Jesus preached around the Sea of Galilee: Capernaum, with Peter’s House and the famous Synagogue, enjoy the view from Mt. of the Beatitudes, where the “Sermon on the Mount” was given, and the reconstructed church in Tabgha, where tradition puts the miracle of the Bread and The Fish. . Continue to the Baptismal Site of Yardenit on the Holy River Jordan and nearby Cana, site of the first miracle. Afterwards drive to visit Kibbutz Ginosar – the biggest and oldest banana plantations in Israel, which in the last decades, show impressive agriculture results, both for Israel and worldwide. Sail on the Galilee Sea in a boat similar to the boat used by Jesus and his disciples. Overnight in Nazareth

Day 10: Tel Aviv – Nairobi
Transfer to the airport in Israel – Tel Aviv for your flight back to Nairobi.
